AcademicStartup.org is the successor of the Entrepreneurs App. The network makes the idea of connecting entrepreneurial students online more lean. Concept and UI design was jointly developed with Lena Mohr.
Based on the previous experience with the Entrepreneurs App, the new concept was focused on three main development areas:
Lean Registration Process – The new registration process is crucial for the success of the new platform. It enables the user onboarding in just three clicks. This further reduces obstacles for new users to join the network.
Optimized User Interaction Design – Based on a single page layout, the new platform streamlines the user experience. Coded in VUE.JS the platform supports multiple browsers and scales perfectly on any device.
Scalable Roll-out Strategy – The Entrepreneurs App was based on a step-by-step roll-out process on university level. Combined with the new authentication process, the platform supports multiple universities in an area right from the start. This should increase the networking possibilities between universities and enables a faster growth.
Multi language Support – The platform will initially be available in English and Chinese. The structure of the page enables a fast and smooth translation of every page.
Personal Chat Integration – A custom built chat based on VUE.JS and Google Firebase enables users to interact directly. This increases the practicability of AcademicStartup.org as a networking platform.
The new platform starts in Taiwan and will be rolled out to Germany after an initial test phase in 2020.
