This December, at the Design Factory Pforzheim‘s Christmas event, I had the privilege of delving into my startup journey with an audience of aspiring entrepreneurs and fellow alumni. I had the opportunity to take the audience through the various phases of my own startup endeavors, offering both insights and learnings from each.
My personal startup journey began in Pforzheim. After having received a scholarship at the Friedrich-Naumann-Foundation I attended many seminars and workshops at the Entrepreneurs @FNF. There I was lucky enough to meet some very inspiring founders and entrepreneurs that helped me to get a comprehensive view on the startup scene and the possibilities therein. This allowed me to start my own entrepreneurship club in Pforzheim with a group of motivated students (www.entrepreneurs-pforzheim.de). Right after, I joined the first startup as a Co-Founder of NovelSense. From there on I was fortunate to meet and work with many inspiring individuals in the startup world. Most recently for a Y-Combinator startup in the data space.
Throughout my talk, I emphasized the role of the University of Pforzheim in fostering entrepreneurship. The university’s interdisciplinary approach, blending technology, business, and design, provides an excellent platform for students to identify and solve real-world problems creatively and effectively. The Design Factory plays a vital role in this through education, coaching, and building a network for entrepreneurial development.
