Projekt “VideoSmart”: Optimization of passenger flow in Berlin subway U55

Project “VideoSmart” is a mFUND project run by LAT Funkanlagen-Service GmbH in Berlin. It aims to utilize existing 360 degree security cameras in Berlins subways to optimize the passenger flow at the stations. Therefore the cameras are used to recognize the amount of passengers in each wagon. The information is transfered to LED signals on station side.

NovelSense is a project partner and responsible for the signal transfer and the digital signage system at the station. Amongst others NovelSense developed multiple prototypes for a signalling system, which is currently installed at the U55 Kanzleramt station in Berlin.
