Entrepreneurs Pforzheim is helping to make Startups in Pforzheim visible. In the summer semester 2017, three Startups from the network participated in the regional competition of “Elevator Pitch BW” a pitch event funded by the state government of Baden-Württemberg.
The ideas presented comprised a robotics startup which has previously also secured an EXIST funding, a cooking app and an online travel blog. Elevator Pitch is an initiative of the “Initiative für Existenzgründung und Unternehmensnachfolge” (ifex) based in Stuttgart. Since 2013 the format takes place in various locations across Baden-Württemberg.
The winner of the Final pitch event in Stuttgart secures up to 3.000€ in price money. All startups receive expert feedback and have the chance to present their ideas in front of a jury.
Winner of the regional event was the startup company Varomo UG – A robotics startup that is building a autonomous robot for the healthcare industry. The team is part of Entrepreneurs Pforzheim and was supported by various partners and mentors from the network.
