Teams are the first and often the most valuable investment in a startup. In most cases a good team can detect market opportunities easily and solve problems faster than an individual. Especially in an early phase, this seems to be intuitively linked to the success of a startup. Still many founders do not seem to realize the value of teams when starting up their business. Many young entrepreneurs seem to be rather focussed on product development instead of team building. This lack of awareness for team culture can create problems, which not rarely lead to failure and inability of decision making in critical phases of a startups development.
I had the chance to support a collaboration between Pioniergarage e.V., Entrepreneurs Pforzheim e.V. and Startup Gate e.V. to create a series of video podcasts that create awareness for the importance of startup teams. The video series was organized by students at the KIT, University of Pforzheim and the TU Kaiserslautern.
The series is composed of three parts that focus on the topics of team building, leadership and team culture. Supported by excellent speakers, the podcasts cover a vast array of knowledge and deep personal insights into startup teams. Links to the video podcasts can be found below.
Part 1 – Team building
Part 2 – Leadership
Part 3 – Team culture
With Co-Founder Space I am supporting startups and founders to build great teams. This is done in workshops and via online coachings. We get the right people in touch and help to build up knowledge and awareness around startup teams.
